Molinicos surroundings
MOLINICOS property is quite Andalucian in character, with narrow calles sometimes only accessible on foot, and painted, pueblo-style property being lovingly restored. Molinicos is a typical small village 15 minutes from Elche de la Sierra tucked between two almond clad mountains and within excellent hiking country.
The traditional narrow calles are being upgraded rapidly, with grants to paint property facades being given by the town hall. One calle leads down to a flowing stream with ducks and geese and direct access to marked walking routes. All this, and a beautifully situated open-air village swimming pool in the summer months, a handful of restaurants and bars, church, post office, bank, shops and town hall. 
With a population of only around 1500 people,and very limited room for growth, Molinicos is a place to look at, if you're thinking of buying a Spanish inland property. A village in which to buy before the word gets around too much !

In the months of high summer there are twice-weekly guided hikes. Honey and pure olive oil are made here.
